GWCA – 1002: Niche Development – Becoming a Global Wife Coach
Course Instructor: Rahel Randy
Course Description
Welcome, students. I am genuinely glad you are here, and I want you to understand from the very first sentence of this course that what you are about to study is not background information. It is the foundation on which your entire coaching career will stand. GWCA-1002: Niche Development - Becoming a Global Wife Coach is the course that takes everything you learned in GWCA-1001 about what coaching is and what it requires, and directs it toward the most important professional question you will ever answer as a wife coach. That question is not what do I know. The question is who am I for? Who is the specific woman I am most equipped, most passionate, and most called to serve? And how do I position myself so clearly and so specifically that when she is looking for a coach, she finds me and immediately knows that I am the one she needs?
Many coaches make a mistake early in their careers that costs them years of unnecessary struggle. They try to coach everyone. They keep their description of who they serve as broad as possible, believing that broader reach means more clients. What they discover instead is that when you speak to everyone, you connect with no one. The woman who is newly married and struggling to establish herself in her marriage is not looking for a general life coach. The wife who is in the aftermath of a betrayal is not searching for someone who helps people achieve their goals. The ministry wife who has no safe space to be honest about what the calling is costing her is not going to respond to a coach who helps women live better lives. Each of these women is looking for someone who understands her specific world. Your niche is what tells her that you are that person.
This course will take you through the complete process of niche development, from understanding what a niche is and why it is non-negotiable, through discovering your identity as a Global Wife Coach, through mapping the specific landscape of wife coaching to find your territory, through defining your sub-niche with precision, through crafting the language that communicates your value compellingly, through positioning yourself with credibility in the global coaching marketplace, through understanding the ethical responsibilities that come with niche-based practice, and finally through building a practical roadmap that takes you from where you are now to where your practice needs to be. By the time you complete this course, you will not just have a niche statement on paper. You will have a clear, honest, deeply personal professional identity that is genuinely yours.
