GWCA – 1001: Foundations of Coaching and Introduction to Wife Coaching
Course Instructor: Rahel Randy
Course Description
Welcome to GWCA-1001: Foundations of Coaching and Introduction to Wife Coaching. I am genuinely delighted that you are here. This is the first course in the Global Wife Coaches Academy curriculum, and I designed it to serve as the bedrock upon which your entire coaching career will be established. Before you can build anything that lasts, you must first understand what coaching is, where it comes from, how it works, and specifically what it means to apply it to the lives of wives. That is exactly what we are going to do in this course.
Let me be direct with you from the very beginning. Many people enter the coaching world with enthusiasm but without foundation. They are excited to help, they are passionate about people, and they have genuine life experience to draw from. But passion without a professional foundation is not enough to build a sustainable, credible coaching practice. Passion is the fuel. Knowledge is the engine. This course is about building that engine.
In this course, we will trace the history and development of the coaching profession, distinguish coaching from other helping disciplines, and examine the core competencies and principles that define excellent coaching. We will then make the transition into the specific and beautiful world of wife coaching, a niche that requires not only general coaching excellence but also a deep understanding of the marital experience, the emotional world of a wife, and the unique responsibilities that come with serving women in the context of their most intimate relationship.
This course is professionally relevant because it sets the standard. It tells you what kind of coach you are being trained to become. At the Global Wife Coaches Academy, we are not training hobbyists or self-appointed advisors. We are training certified, professional, ethical Wife Coaches who are equipped to operate at a global standard. That standard begins here, in this course, with a thorough grounding in the foundations of coaching and a clear introduction to the field of wife coaching.
Every module in this course is designed to give you both conceptual clarity and practical application. By the time you complete this course, you will not only understand what coaching is. You will understand why wife coaching matters, who it serves, and what it requires of you as a professional. You will leave this course thinking like a coach, seeing opportunities for growth in every conversation, and carrying a professional identity that is grounded, clear, and confident.
